Hunting season is over here in Minnesota - where the @#$% is my snow and the sub-zero temperatures? Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but I live here in Duluth for a reason - I like the cold for a couple months out of the year.

Rant over - took the day off and went out with my camera this morning...was supposed to have the whole day to myself but daycare called me because they had to close so now its daddy day care time for the rest of the day!

Here's one image I've had a chance to process - maybe more soon if the baby decides to take a nap. As always, critique/criticism always welcome.

Thanks!

I love this shot. I think that there is a sunspot in the middle though that kind of distracts me. But thats a minor complaint in the grand sceme of things.

Good shot. BTW, you're welcome to the cold weather, and there's still time for some.

GREAT shot! Did you use any filters? Kinda makes the warm weather worth it huh?

I was born in Detroit Lakes, MN and still have most of my family there. They are pretty unhappy with the weather as well. Can't get the snowmobiles out on the trails or the lake. I like Minnesota in the summer myself though.

The pink reflected in the spray is a nice contrast to the blue of the water.

I'd be out shooting whether it were -10 or +40, bring it on! I think I used a 3 stop GND on both of these, which still wasnt enough for the dynamic range so I had blend exposures anyway.

I'd like to get the sleds out myself...

Thanks for the comments everyone! One more for the road from the same morning:
