Thank you all - She is indeed a little poser in front of the camera, she nearly always demands to look on the back of the camera prior to the next shot.. She will look at it herself and tell me if she likes it or not!

Would you mind sharing how you post-processed the first shot? It looks great!

Hard vignette with a tad bit of warm highlights and a bit of desaturation? Thanks

You shot this with a nifty? With all those other lenses in your sig? Tell me why? I'm not questioning you. I'm just learning. I'm loving that pic.

Good job on both shots. The first is my favorite. The lighting and pose is perfect, and I love her eyes and smirk. She reminds me of my daughter when she was that age. She is now a teenager and refuses to let me take her picture. It is disappointing but makes my old photos of her even more cherished.

Thank you - Not so much a hard vignette - but I import the image in to Photoshop and darken the whole image using curves, create a masking layer and darken the background to give the subject more pop... I also use an LR preset that I created a while ago and tweak it from there, mainly split toning and playing with colours and curves..

Thank you - I like the the nifty fifty and my copy "well was" is very sharp... It's light to carry around and it's on my camera most of the time when I'm around the house.. Since the above pictures I've purchased a Canon EF 50mm 1.4 and Canon 580 EX II so maybe I can improve a little :D

Thank you - I hope Lucy never gets bored of me taking photos! I adore taking photos of my kids! Something I never had when I was a child..
