A few days ago I accidentally disturbed a nest of skink eggs, I was very upset and feared I'd caused them to die because the mother ran away. Until then I didn't even know she tended her nest. I left them alone but checked occasionally to see if the mother came back. It seemed they had been left. Today I decided to move them into an icecream container with sand in it and place them in a warm sheltered space. There was actually 2 clutches, one of 3 that were slightly larger in size than the other clutch. When I picked them up some fluid oozed out of the bigger eggs and I thought I might have burst them, even though I was careful. That wasn't the case at all. Look what happened before my eyes. :D

Hopefully running free in my backyard. I hatched them out in the ice cream container and then let them go, and boy did they run fast!
