canon 7d for $1219 at cameta camera

I got a sigma 24-60mm a few years back and had no issues but never had to return anything. Anyone ever have to return anything and like to share with us?

ive bought a bunch of small stuff from them like filters and things like that. from their ebay store though.

yes they look legit - purchased a small load of filters, flash modifiers etc from them.

Cameta camera is a legit place to buy from. I have purchased a couple of cameras and lens from them with no problem. Only thing to look out for is if you look online at the Cameta camera Ebay store and see their prices are usually different from the in store website prices and some of the sales people if you call them are not familiar with the differences between the ebay site prices and the in-store pricing. Lastly, I believe that as far as returns are concerned you have a 30 day return policy.

Cameta is a totally reputable and honest shop here on Long island, NY. Nice people to deal with in person as well.

I'm sure they've changed their practices, but I won't buy from them again.

About 11 or 12 years ago I needed a camera for a project. I bought my first Canon SLR (film) in a kit with 2 Tamron lenses from Cameta. When I opened the box, I found my Canon camera bundled with Tamron lenses with Nikon mounts. The boxes were clearly marked Nikon, yet some genius thought they should bundle these together. I called to get a replacement sent out ASAP. They wouldn't cross ship even though the mistake was 100% theirs. What's worse is they shipped it out standard UPS. I think it took over 2 weeks for them to receive, process, and ship them out to me (I live on the other side of the country). By the time I received the replacements, it was obviously too late to use them for my project.

thanks everyone, yes the ebay site is more closer to $1300 so I checked there store site for kicks and it was cheaper.
