Thought I'd post a few photos taken just a week after receiving my first DSLR in October 2010. These were shot with either my kit lens, or an old pawn shop Sigma 70-200 manual lens.
I live 30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, so I am usually in the park at least once a month for camping, hiking, fishing, etc..
The weather wasn't too great, so the scenes were a little dark, and I didn't learn about RAW shooting yet, so these were all in .jpg.

Great shots. Looks like the last three had some dirt/spots on the lens. Not hard to fix in post but something to watch for when shooting outdoors. I still forget from time to time but I've tried to get in the habit of walking around to the front of the tripod and checking the lens as the last thing I do before clicking the shutter. The trick I've used to help with that is to make myself use the remote shutter.
