This isn't a negative comment on your photos but just seeing photos where people look uncomfortable or otherwise not appreciative of being photographed makes me uneasy. I can't imagine taking shots like that. How do people normally react? Have you ever had any harsh reactions from people? Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb

A lot of people smile, but harsh reactions are also common. It was my first time with flash so i don't have a lot of stories to tell yet, but one guy threatened me that will take me into back alley, call his friends and take my camera/beat me up. He started fallowing me until i deleted his picture; and from now on i decided to just delete pictures when asked for if i don't like the picture anyway. Lesson number 2 - always record audio when someone pissed off approaches you, or if you like your picture and are not willing to delete it. http://corruptingmind.blogspot.com

Jan 12, 2012 09:45 | #7 Thanks for the explanation. It's very good stuff, the expressions you've captured are amazing. I personally wouldn't have the nerve to do what you're doing, but I'm happy you're doing it and sharing it here.

I mostly enjoy shooting while I travel but even in that context I don't have guts to even ask people if I can take their pictures, let alone snap them unsolicited. Good for you but... be careful!
