I'm having an issue with my computer, what dosen't matter. I'm not sure if its a hardware or software issue so I have contacted customer support of three vendors whose stuff may be at fault or who may help. All via email. I have heard back from all three. I have Ashley, Heather and Sara all working on this.......I am not saying females can't do this stuff, it just strikes me as odd. Do they figure that I will be more patient with a 'young female' sounding name? I'm in th states, I wonder if there is some poor guy in some boiler room in Calcutta who has to call himself Ashley all day.
Has a 'This is Peggy" ring to me. Anybody else have to this route and get a female name?

Just what I was thinking reading your post.

Well, today I talked to a nice young lass at DirecTV (I think her name was Sarah) who spoke unaccented American English and had no trouble understanding me. And she knew what she was doing - that always makes my day.

Real name? I assume so...

Computer call center, they're probably in Bangalore. Be happy they're helping you, 2nd level support might be routed to S America.
