has anyone with a T3/1100D purchased one of these and do they work or do they not work due to the SD card being in the same compartment as the battery (causing the camera to power off when battery cover is opened)?

Nothing goes inside the camera itself. She decided to not get a grip, so I guess I may not have really answered your question. As I have the T3/1100D not the T3i/600D will the grip you have work on a T3/1100D? 6D | T3/1100D | EF 85mm f1.8 USM | EF 50mm f1.8 mkII | EF-S 10-18mm IS STM | EF-S 18-55mm IS II | 600EX-RT | YN-E3-RT | PCB B800 |

It is not listed as an accessory on their web site, anyway. If an external power cable is required, that would be a strong hint that Canon did not intend for the T3 to have a battery grip. Tom

If anyone has input dealing with the grip in the original post please share any input on it. 6D | T3/1100D | EF 85mm f1.8 USM | EF 50mm f1.8 mkII | EF-S 10-18mm IS STM | EF-S 18-55mm IS II | 600EX-RT | YN-E3-RT | PCB B800 |
