uh oh! just traded my Fuji Metabones for a Canon EF to 43 Metabons version "S"... should get it tomorrow.

:-)

70-200 + 135L on my OM-D even my 40mm f/2.8 and my 16-35mm 2.8 should be epic. will post some results on sharpness etc.

I am thinking about getting a OM-m43 adapter and looking for a 180 F2.8 for a wild life prime for less than a 1/3 the cost of the new 40-150 2.8. Yeah it would be full manual but a 360mm F2.8 equivalent on a EM5 would be cool to try and much smaller and lighter than a EF 70-200. If you wanted to try a something like that for the size IIRC olympus has made a 350mm F2.8 in OM mount but its of course GINORMOUS and about 3k+ if you can find one.

I don't need soul; I need a proper camera. The A7 models aren't proper cameras--not for what I need to do anyway. They're basically sensors in a box, while the practical camera features aren't up to snuff. I would love to jump to a fullframe mirrorless, but not when the feature set is as poor as the A7 cameras. There's a rumor of a "pro" A9 coming next year, so we'll see how that goes.

Plus they need to get their dearth of lenses sorted out. 35mm f/2 or larger, or GTFO

umm, i disagree with that statement, a camera with a "soul" is important, you have to ENJOY using the camera... you have to have a connection with it... If you have a camera with the most amazing sensor in it and you hate using it, whats the point????

Ive had Sony mirror-less, Fuji mirror-less, and oly mirrorless... i did not have a connection with the Fuji's and with the Sony's (and i have the NEX7, the A7, X100s, Xpro 1, and XT1) while i got great images using the cameras, i just wasn't happy with using it. The Oly I LOVE.... i really dont care about DOF, i got my Canon 1DX for that....

And we're OMD users and contributors.... we're just "communicating" about something new... Olympus will make a huge announcement in January! 4-3 rumors site says....

To be fair I was only playing. Camera, or more all tech I'd so good now. It's great to have so many options to get great photos

So I pulled the trigger on the 75, shipped today so hoping to have it this weekend. Also decided to keep the 45mm so I made my own little MFT holy trinity 14/45/75. Worst case, if I don't like it, I'd sell the 45 and 75 for a PL 35-100 f/2.8 but seeing as how the OMD is my "fun" camera, I bet I'll keep the primes..especially when they do this....

my first daughter who's off to college next year : (
