The game will last 4 Days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only.

Also, please keep all comments, be they positive or negative, to yourself until after the game has ended.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #400."
Game ends Saturday, January 14th at 7:30pm US CST.

PSE8: worked with JPG. Straightened, took red stripe to own layer. Took stop-sign to own layer. Adjusted stop-layer color. Made bg B&w, adjusted contrast & brightness. Added layer with solid color #777777, added monochromatic noise. Put opacity to 15% for noise layer. added layer mask, painted some areas with brush, opacity 10% until was satisfied.

Lightroom - leveled and cropped, white balance, brushed on local de-saturation, adjusted individual color saturation and hues, turned the tail lights magenta (oops)
Photoshop - added layers for new lights, brushed colors into selections, reminded myself how little I know about transforming selections.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

the download link had an error, so i just used the jpg

Photoshop:
used color balance to add lots of red
used the "black and white" tool to turn the image to black and white, and made reds turn black
cropped
added 15 px black border
used the brush tool to clean up the sky and take out everything except the road

(this looks like the kinda photo that needs a ufo in the background )

I just bought lightroom, so I thought I would try it out.Worked with the tiff, I corrected for the lens, cropped adjusted levels, white balance and so on, not really sure, moved it in to PSE 9, saved as a jpg, auto sharpened, dodged in the stars so you can see what I believe is pegasus, uploaded to flicker, copy and pasted to here

similae - the b&w conversion is interesting, tho I've never been a fan of selective coloring.

cacawcacaw - kind of the shot I was waiting for on the corner, trails turning & going to the side, low battery made me go home   nice to see it in 'edit' form.

T3 Heavy Shop - I really need to DL LR4, I really like colors and the tones in the final image. This image is really brought to life here.

ftwo - well done on cropping out the power lines

NIgelD - Funny Stuff. & I like the crop.

nanette 37 - definitely a different perspective on the photo. A little dark for my tastes.

08photog - love the crop and the stars add alot. I really like this.

Douglas - LOL you totally know the kind of edit I like  a total winner, I LOVE IT! :D

T3Heavy Shop is the Winner of this Round - Take it away!

WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Tanks.
Some things in LR4 are not working yet, and it has a few changes in controls from LR3. Acts and feels the same though, so not much of a learning curve.

New pic is up
