Here are a few warbirds and transports, I usually shoot props in shutter priority with appropriate +/- EV dialed in to compensate for the exposure diffence between subject and background. The ultimate goal for me is always 'full circle blur' but I do vary the amount to a variation as it's not everyone's 'cup of tea'
I frequently shoot at 1/30th 1/60th and 1/80 with the 600mmf4 IS, generally with IS off but not always.

as far as the prop blur goes, I like #4. You can still see the blades (and glare) in the circle just enough.

my favorite of the shots is #1 though, I love the Skyraider

Very nice work, Nigel! Maybe the next time you could keep the EXIF in the images?

Cracking shots! I agree, EXIF info could be helpful to those of us less skilled than you.

Great work. I personally like 1,2, 5 without the full circle blur as it is against the expectation and brings some character to the photos. Not that they needed more character.

Nigel, you know how much I love the Fennec shot. The full disc in that one is not just for the sake of it but works as a compositional aid for me, framing the pilot and nose of the fuselage.

The RAF Hercules is literally one of my favourite ever shots out of the Mach Loop bw!
