Some Epic panning skills there.. Well Done

Cheers

Prop aircraft look their best when moving/flying. With a good amount of prop blur, you can almost hear the engines sing. Added to that, a nice motion-blurred background gives a feeling of speed. The slow shutter speeds and steady-hand needed also give me the challenge I look for.

Hand-held too. I've been experimenting how slow I can go. 1/13 is about my limit. I did track a Coast Guard boat at 3 sec, but lost the image in a card format. Spooky tracking with a blocked viewfinder.

I would have liked to see that boat at 3 seconds. Too bad!

Nice prop blur & the aircraft are sharp. Did you notice that the buildings don't give as much feeling of motion as the trees do?

absolutely frank, I think its because they aren't as random or colorful as the trees so they don't convey that sense.

I agree. I'd not noticed that before & just thought I'd point it out.

I envy the museum that Mark's shooting at, beautiful area and really nice light. Reading on the other hand...not the greatest lighting and you see a bunch of buildings in the background. This was one of the few years that we had somewhat decent light and beautiful skies.
