My local bestbuy dosent carry it FYI... not ALL carry them. Though I can always deal with a new lens... I guess.

Stay clear of Best Buys!

Best Buys has a silly policy of a 15% re-stocking fee being charged on 14-day returns for opened boxes on items such as digital cameras, camcorders, etc.. I had a close friend who was mislead on the capabilities of a camcorder by one of their "knowledgeable" sales people, only find out from the owner's manual that it did not do what the sales person had said. He returned it, and was hit with the 15% re-stocking fee. (He never had used the unit!) He took this to the manager and regional manager with no success. No matter how great the 10D is, some people may find a legit reason to return it. There are plenty of other competitors to Best Buy that don't have such a policy (and are usually cheaper as well). Until Best Buys changes this policy, stay clear of these folks...

1) the coupon was sent to me in the snail mail. BB would put your name on their prefered customer list if you buy stuffs from them. I bought a Sony laptop from them a couple years ago and they have been sending coupons to my home ever since.
1) Your milage may varies I was told that some BB would accept printed coupon, some would not. So try several BB if you have to. Good luck.

2) Sorry if your local BB doesn't carry the 10D. Did you try asking them? or you couldn't find it

3) About the 15% restocking fee, it also varies with different stores. I have been returning stuffs without any problems (unopened without any fee).
Also this deal for those people really want to purchase one and don't want to deal with the mail order hassle.

My reference was to a box that was opened for viewing the owner's manual. He, in fact, didn't even unwrap the camcorder. I've talked with my local store and they told me that it was indeed an inforced policy. Just a buyer beware...
