That is awesome. I read every post on Engadget everyday and have for years. I saw this one but didnt watch the video. Saw your post and thought maybe I should. Glad I did, that is amazingly cool. Cant wait to get the app, although it does look like the CES demo is a whole lot better than the actual app. Reviews are pretty bad right now.

Like most browsers, lots of cool effects are possible, but in reality only useful when enough web designers decide to support it by providing content to make use of the new technology.

Lots of GPSes boast 3-D rendering of famous buildings. Sure, things look great when you demo the GPS in, say, Manhattan.

However, if you don't live in a major city, you can drive around for a month with the GPS and see maybe one building in 3D (and it's usually a boring high-rise or city hall).

I'll much rather they add a voice with a cool accent!

Very true. Sad, as this feature would be pretty cool. Someone big needs to add the technology to their app like Google or something.
