A few from the second highest mountain in Thailand. Doi Lang. Just a police outpost on top of a mountain here.

These are all with the 300mm f2.8 IS + 1.4 T.C. 580II flash and better beamer. I am really starting to use this lens alot. It is light and easy to handle. And seems to be sharp enough. I am looking forward to trying the new 300mm f2.8II.

What a stunning group of colors on birds, quite a collection Gary... I really like the last three images, beautifully done.

Thanks dbriz... Playing with the better beamer. That is quite an invention.

Hey Gary Excellent Images! You made Thailand proud! Did you stop over to visit the other Dois as well? And how did you get so close? You used a blind?

Yes Gary, I'd say your 300 is quite sharp as those are fantastic images!
The first 4 would put a strain on anyone's color sensors and are quite beautiful. Gotta love the more exotic birds we don't see very often...thank you for bringing them to us.

Thanks, Mek501st, CamFan01,Andrewhuxman,BGgraphy,Markmizzou,Crimzon,Anke. I did not use a blind but I used food! Seems these guys always have one thing on there mind. I used wormes on these guys. And after awhile they could not stand it and came in for a bite.:) But a blind would of been better. They stay longer.

Mek501st, I live here most of the year. So I have visited most all of Dois here. I retired here. Money goes much farther, and the climate is great.
