Mek501st, Sorry I just looked at your location BKK. Yes I have trouble with birds at Chiang Dao also. I rarely go. So it is not your ability trust me. :) The local park in BKK has so many beautiful birds. I have never been. But see allot of pics from there. Have you tried it yet? If so let me know how it is. Looking at your equipment list i see you have the 70-200mm f4L.. I hear that is a verrrry sharp lens.

Thnk's txcanon... You are from my neck of the woods. I was born and raised in Hillsboro Tx. About 60 miles from DFW.

Thnk's catsith, that barwing jumped on the branch and I had to take the camera off the tripod and swing around catch him. LOL lots of fun for me.

Oh well... hahah guess im not the only one struggling then. Yes! Many beautiful birds but you find that they occasionally visit your backyard anyways so its best to shoot at home. Yes the 70-200 is sharp, for what it is intended for that is :p I will have a find myself a birding lens sometimes soon.
