Date Code Location on Canon 1DIV?

Where can I find the date code on a Canon 1DIV? Is the code easily interpreted? Thank you.

Try the far (contact) end of the battery compartment; that's where it is on the 1Dc, anyway.

In the case of the 1Dc, the code is black gloss on matt black. I needed a flashlight to see it.

Here's a rather crap G10 pic of the location. The first letter "O" refers to the factory; the second letter is an imperfect "Q" (ie 2002). I have no idea what the numbers mean . . .
