snapped this right before a co-ed softball game over summer. obviously not a premeditated shot would change some settings going back but I feel i've gotten better with my pp and wanted to see what I could do with it. what do you think?

Looks really good to me. I like how you've smoothed her skin but retained some lines/texture, making it still appear natural. I wouldn't know it was post processed if I didn't see the original so that's a sign of excellent post processing if you ask me!

I hate it when people go overboard making skin look plastic & fake, people do it all the time & it looks ridiculous.

To me it looks splotchy and slightly yellow/green.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Very nice candid and I would personally add a little more punch to the picture and warm it up a little bit, unless you are going for a more desaturated look.

I hate to say this, but I like the before a lot better. In the after she looks washed out with a grey-ish/greenish tinge to her skin, and all of the nice soft shadowing is gone (shadowing adds great dimension). I'm not really digging the crop either...lots of blown areas and distracting elements in the background.

This is what I'd do to it...vertical crop and warmed up a lot. I like it as a b&w too.

On my iPad, so color might not look right to me, but it looks like you took all the color out of her skin. She looks really grey to me. Nice job of brightening her up and smoothing her skin though.

And the top of her head and shoulders have blue color casts from the sky.

Pretty girl, her eyes look beautiful in your edit.

Watch the bruise-like shadows on her forehead, and her cheek.

Whatever you did to her iris, both eyes, do less of it.
