Agreed, and the day people stop stealing them is the day I'll stop using it.

As always, Great images.

As for the watermark...if they want it, people will steal the image anyway. This guy is selling a poster of mine...complete with my watermark across the entire image. https://www.amazon.com …c3bd9f769&pf_rd_i=desktop (external link). This guy isn't the first either. A few people who have bought the fake posters came to me to buy the real one... so I'm thankful for that much.

Amazon won't take it down. If I pursue legal action, my lawyer will be happy...but the amount of time it'll take from me is more precious than the money I'll end up pocketing. The thief is probably aware of that...probably hiding behind some reproduction of web image bs loophole anyway.

I do a LOT of paid commercial work. Mostly for magazines. Since I don't own those images, I don't post them online (unless that's what they're paying for)...or even on my website. Most of my best work hides in the pages on the newsstand, or deep in some tradeshow dumpster.

Just the way it is.

Just as a FYI, I don't think that your ID watermark qualifies as a true ©, & you might not be getting all the protection that you could have because of that.

https://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap4.html (external link)

§ 401 . Notice of copyright: Visually perceptible copies2
(b) Form of Notice. — If a notice appears on the copies, it shall consist of the following three elements:

(1) the symbol © (the letter C in a circle), or the word “Copyright”, or the abbreviation “Copr.”;

and

(2) the year of first publication of the work; in the case of compilations or derivative works incorporating previously published material, the year date of first publication of the compilation or derivative work is sufficient. The year date may be omitted where a pictorial, graphic, or sculptural work, with accompanying text matter, if any, is reproduced in or on greeting cards, postcards, stationery, jewelry, dolls, toys, or any useful articles;

and

(3) the name of the owner of copyright in the work, or an abbreviation by which the name can be recognized, or a generally known alternative designation of the owner.

And as Carolyn E Wright's blog (external link) posted: "And the even better news? You don't have to have registered your photo in advance to recover under this statute."

I don't use watermarks on this site. I don't expect my pics stolen here. I do watermark the hell out of them on my web site after an event. With sports the watermark is HUGE. I started doing that with aviation too because the pilots and owners would snag the pics for thier web sites. That one pisses me off because most of these private war bird owners are multi millionaires. They are able to pay for a good pic, but like most aren't willing too.

This is an aerodynamic seal from a B777. This particular seal is between the outer panel of the flaps and the flaperon. The fuel dump line is further outboard between the aileron and the outboard flap panel. It is about three inches in diameter. The seal you are looking at is about an inch. These seals do detach from time to time - as in the photo. The flaperon's do all the work when the ailerons are locked out at high speed (during the whole cruise) and so they wear the most of all the seals, they are removed when this happens as in the picture and a degradation in the maximum weights the aircraft can lift are made between 200-600kgs depending on which seal and if it is the whole thing missing or just a part until the unit is replaced.

Well I thought it was worth leaving a 1* review pointing out the product was made without the authorisation or permission of the image copyright holder, but I bet it doesn't even get posted on Amazon. Inundating items like this on Amazon with negative reviews may eventually make the market places realise that it is not good for them to keep supporting the ripoff merchants.
