Thank you!! Yeah... I don't shoot aircraft that often and the damn thing was just all of a sudden "there". lol I am often guilty of shooting at whatever its set at when in a rush. :oops:

BTDT, & shooting RAW takes advantage of the extra latitude.
Also, while I usually shoot Manual, I'll set Av to a much different aperture than is set in M & set Tv to a much different shutter speed.
For instance, if M is 1/30 sec, then Tv might be 1/500 sec.

Thing is, I usually have my camera set for "steady shot"... (I use Sony) and its not a quick flip of a switch to turn it off unfortunately for panning shots. I have my new camera (only 2 weeks now) set with a button that will be much faster. Not as quick as a switch, but one press of the button, and a flip of any dial on the camera to shut off or on. I hope to be better prepared in general for shots like this when I don't want stabilization. I always shoot raw, and manual with auto ISO and liberal use of the "exposure lock" button.
