Hey guys ,

I am trying to upload photo's and they get significantly desaturated??

heres the picture uploaded :

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif' | Redirected to error image by FLICKR

And here is what I see on my desktop....you can see the difference?

If I upload it to my cellphone I am getting the SAME colour shift?

Flickr and other services modify your images to crunch file sizes. Try emailing to yourself which is probably the best method if you don't have web hosting and the ability to upload via FTP.

Flickr (at least the Pro version) does not modify or resize files in any way, not for the 'full size' option. It does resize for smaller previews, but I've never had anything desaturat. Can't see the pics either, try posting again so we can have a look at the files and see if there are any obvious clues. You say you're using sRBG; you're sure it's not in an Adobe RGB color space?

Upload in .PNG as opposed to .JPG if you dont already. jpg is a lossy format and you lose minor detail and colour / colour saturation. Take a nice colourful image and save two copys off them. Upload them both to flickr and compare, you will see the difference.

Stopped using my Flickr account because the image quality and colors are very noticeably worse compared to my SmugMug account. Really like the community on Flickr, just not how my images look.

I only have a Flickr atm, I made a 500px, a smugmug trial and a razzi just to see if there was anything I could spot, nothing seemed different enough to bother me, so I am sticking with flickr. When I pop out more worthy content, Ide love my own site tho ;)
