Sorry if this has been addressed before but I've had the Sigma for a little bit and I'm generally pleased with the Sigma's performance. It seems soft but useable wide open but the AF seems inconsistent. I also use my primes for landscape work and the Sigma never seems to be as sharp as my Canon 50mm 1.4. I was wondering how the Canon 24mm 1.4 fares in terms of sharpness and AF. Price difference is not that big of a consideration, I'm just wondering whether there is a noticeable difference between the two.

Canon 7D | 24mm 1.4 L | 24-105mm 4 L | 70-200mm 4 IS L | 50mm 1.4 | 10-22mm 3.5-4.5 | Rokinon 8mm 3.5 Fisheye

the biggest differences i can see right off are price, FL and the sigma will only work on ef-s, a format i haven't used as a primary camera in more than five years.
