nation Senior Member  906 posts Joined Jun 2005 Location: Sydney, Oz More info | Nov 17, 2005 07:46 | #5 the extender is for people wearing glasses. the idea being that if you wear glass your eye ball is further away from the viewfinder and the view in the viewfinder, including camera settings, gets cuts off. hence the shrinking of the view. for those not wearing glasses and who don't want to smear their LCDs the best thing to do is as Gday pointed out, unscrew and remove the small plastic lenses. IN effect you turn it into a hollow barrel. 7D and lenses.

I wear glasses and it was always problem to see the entire picture in viewfinder with film cameras. With 20Ds smaller viewfinder at least the whole image with shutter and aperture display is visible. Anyway it would be nice to have extender that enlarges image if this is possible. Angle Finder C can do that but it's not for eye level shooting. EOS 5D, EOS 30D, EOS 3, PowerShot G6

Most good camera stores should have them, I grabbed one myself ages ago and think it cost like $5 or $10. They have no glass in them, dirt cheap. Cheers Wayne

Real thing would be eyepiece extender that makes image larger.
