I was at my parents house in Jersey yesterday and took this shot on their deck around 7pm...

After taking the shot I zoomed in on a bright star, the one in the center of the frame. I found this strange "s"curved shaped line. It looks like it's heading up. Could this be a plane? Never seen anything like this. Here's a closer crop...

and 100% crop

Thanks guys!

I would guess meteorite. It's biggest on top, and then slender at the bottom, which means it was petering out as it descended. The path is curious though...

Don't cosmic rays have odd paths like that sometimes? It's the longest one I've seen, though.

Thanks guys! Keep the suggestions coming! I have never seen anything like this. Here's the very next frame. Took it about 5 mins after the above shot. The "s" curve is gone. I move the camera though :( The bright star just below the center of the frame is the same star where the "s" curve started.

That's pretty wild looking, hopefully someone has an answer as to what it is.

The top one is wild, never saw anything like that before. Wonder if it is part of the Russian Mars-Phobos satellite that fell back to earth, last I heard they weren't exactly sure where it was going to crash, supposedly off the coast of Chile, but is was supposed to come back Sunday (yesterday)... Hmmmmmm

The 2nd one (Post #6) looks like a tumbling derilict satellite except for the path, they usually show in more of a straight line through the exposure. Maybe nav lights from a plane???

I'd say it's ... a bird, a plane or superman!

Fire fly? High flying plane? Is the bright object a star or a planet? Does not look like a satellite path.

That last one is definitely a plane. The first ones, I'm not sure. Around the same time, I caught an image of what I believe was an Iridium 57 satellite flare, but it was a straight path.

My guess is also a meteorite, big and lopsided so it's path wasn't a straight line. But that's just a guess.
