Here's one of our family friends who live next to us. They just had a baby girl 3 weeks ago and are moving back to the States. So it's somewhat bittersweet. I think this is one of my favorite / best to date. What do you guys think?

I think you did an excellent job of managing the light - very even from top to bottom.

Thanks Quadna!

... I think I finally found the limit of photoshop. Had this 136 image stitch planned of my family and another (9 people total). Looks like it had potential, but PS will just hang when I try to stitch it together in perspective mode. In auto mode, everything just get warped :)

Check a performance monitor and see if your CPU cores are pegged. If so, it's not likely to be hung, but just working on it.

Yup, it's still humming, but after a whole night's worth of work, it still hasn't gotten anywhere on the progress bar. FWIW Autopano Giga did just fine, but I don't know how to get it to properly work on layers. 200 euro is a bit stiff as well :)

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure I have read that you can sort your images into groups, blend each group and then blend the results for a final image.

Part of that dilemma is that PS will stretch some of the shots to get the correct perspective. We are trying to convert a spherical world into a 2D rectilinear world, and so some optical manipulation is needed (hence your subject looking wider / bigger at the edges of a wide angle frame :) ).

When I have time, I'll try it again, because it looks pretty cool :).

At any rate, nothing fancy here, but I think this is a simple way to add "zoom" to your prime. I needed 50mm, but I had the 85 Sigma with me at 2.0. So I just did a 3 shot Brenizer and mix it together in PS. I'm finding this to be a great way to add zoom to my prime lenses.

It's a good shot but not so clear that the Brenizer Method was used. It may be it's because of too much shadow.

I like your idea on using this method with the previous shot, the medical corpsman tending the little girl.

wow, some amazing shots in here! Must give this technique a proper go - have tried it a few times but had stitching problems. Maybe need to be more careful how I do it.

Give it a try SNV. It's a lot of fun :). Your 50 1.8 is probably a good lens to start with. You can always start with something simple like a 4-9 image stitch, and then go from there.

Here's another one of our family friends prior to their departure back to the States.

I agree. Both are beautiful shots. Great pose of your friends with their baby, it's so precious. Also love how the antlers turned out in the Trophy Room image.

From the weekend - with people (not very stationary ones) in!

Decided landscape version looked better - what do you think?
