Hi Josh, your kind words and inputs are appreciated. Composition is one of my worse nightmares. Cropping is the other. After read your inputs, i went back and cropped a few. Here is one of them, please let me know what you think. Thanks for sharing your awesome photos. I will definitely copy some of your ideas.

Looks good. I think for the sake of Brenizer, the image might be made stronger if the couch is a bit back so that it will sit closer to the wall on the left and right. In general the more framing objects you can find around the plane of focus, the more dramatic the result. It doesn't have to always be that way too though. One area I find to avoid also is area of high contrast where there are areas blown out. It doesn't come out as good as if everything is in close enough dynamic range.

Here's a roughly 20 shot Brenizer, a candid shot of this sweet couple off the wall at Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany. The other side of the wall is at least a 40 feet drop :).

And here's the single shot.

Would I have gotten more pronounced effect by being closer to them? For sure. But it's sometimes hard to get a candid that way :p.

InCip: that "Bossy Anna" shot has to be one of my favorite pictures from this forum, Brenizer or not. Her expression and stance are priceless, thanks for sharing that.

Hi Josh, thanks for the inputs. I do agree with you about the high contrast spots and surrounding objects. The following is an example of high contrast areas that needed not include. details details.

Hi Ross H,

Thank you very much for the awesome compliment. I promised her 15' of mine craft for 15' of shooting; that's also including carry her on my shoulders from the highway onto that hiking bridge. Once we got there: it's too hot, i want to go back to the car and play mine craft... but we just got here, and i got no photos yet. That is the story behind that "bossy Anna" Brenizer or not photo. Again, thanks; it's felt great to know that photo is one of your favorites.

Somewhere from 60-74 photos. I think i had the tripod a bit low.

i learned today is always let LR spits out its jpeg version. Jpeg straight out from the camera still too big. I had 3 sets of photos today, ranging from 46 to 85 photos. It took a darn long time and battery (mbpro) to merge the pictures.

I'm still a skillful point n shooter. Need to shake them off.

Looks great IC. Love your last shot. It has great story telling qualities. What makes Brenizer great is that it replicates medium and large format cameras so well. What Zack Arias raves about is the transition from focus to defocus. It's not just about blowing everything into I recognizable bokeh, but you have a soft gradient of transition allowing your mind to interpret the 2D image as 3D. It has a magical quality and that's what so addicting about it :). It is totally killing my ****ter actuations on my 5D3 though... Ouch :)

Looks good IC. I think the main thing is that the area of blowout on the first shot is a bit distracting. Otherwise the last two looks cool.
