I ask this, because I have been lucky enough to be fit my entire life.
I went out on an early morning hike (strenuous -by the description of the hike) Sunday. It was 6 degrees F.
Man, did I struggle - I had to stop 1/2 up the trail. Now mind you I have not exercised in a while and my eating habits are not entirely poor. I am in my mid 50s and I am just a few pounds overweight. I can see if I want to continue hiking and photographing I am going to have to change some of my habits. This is the very first time in my life of hiking (nearly 45yrs) that I have struggled.
What is your age, and how do you keep (or try to keep) fit?
