Here are some shots I took while working out at Wolverine Cove, Big River Lakes, AK.
It is a popular sportfishing area frequented by both brown and black bears.

What a set. AWESOME!!!!!!! KUDOS.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Terrific series. The leap is awesome, but number 4 has so much character. You must have had a blast capturing these moments. I know I would.

Great series! I like them all, but the leap in #2 is especially cool!

Super, SUPER series Drew!
I envy your ability to be there and capture the action you did. The leap image is a great timing shot, but my favs are #'s 3 & 4 for the character of the bear they reveal.

Number 2 is great...you might also consider cropping it a little for a new take on the shot.

Superb shots, 1 to 3 are outstanding.
I really like the tranquility of #4 with the mist, could do with a tweak up in exposure IMHO.

I agree with Kevan & Lester. The leap is way cool but #4 could do with some tweaking to make it awesome as well.
Lucky you to get this opportunity; I would be too chicken, myself.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Not to hijack your thread, but I captured this bruiser at the very same place....Wolverine Creek is an AMAZING place to see bears. Out guide told us he was probably around 800 lbs....

I went to Alaska in 07 and am DYING to get back up there. Incredible experience. Fish Creek in Hyder is another prime spot to view them.

Wolverine is awesome tho...if nothing else but for the sea plane flight to get in there! Ya land in a big lake and then get on a little john boat to go fishing and bear viewing....you wont be alone! There will be dozens of folks there usually...the salmon fishing is incredible and the bear viewing is awesome. The boats all line up in a "V" at the creek mouth (just funneling the salmon in) and when the boat in front catches its limit they peel off and the next boat moves forward one spot....lol...doesnt take long!

Awesome spot and brings back incredible memories...thanks for sharing!!!

They're all great but the leap is over the top. I was there in 2006 for a day trip and only saw brown bears but got to see some cubs too.
