but I can't seem to get it right:rolleyes:

I tried using the crop tool and selecting 8x10, but I can only use the arrows on the corners of the image, the side arrows don't pull out to the sides it rotates the image, which makes it hard to crop they way I want, so I end up using the crop tool without typing in a size then I can move all the arrows without the image rotating, there has to be a better way to do this. But is still doesn't print out right, I have a lot of white space left on the paper.

also

When I go to image resize and type (try to any way) 8 x11 when I put in 8 it gives me 5 or something crazy instead of 11 or 12.

Please help, I have no idea what I'm doing. I' ve enrolled in NYIP plus joined the local camera club and I will have to send in prints for the class and prints for the club competitions. So I need to get a handle on this now.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am sure that some of the experts around here have a different way but after I am done with all my post processing in PS I save the .jpg at 300 DPI and make my size as close to 1600 x whatever or 1200 x whaterver as possible. Then I open the photo in the default windows picture viewer and tell it 8x10 with no cropping, then you can use a paper cutter and get the exact size. Again, it's just my own way of doing it. :)

Cassie when cropping to a specific aspect ratio (8 X 10), you can only use the corner arrows, otherwise you can't maintain your height/width ratio. Notice when you drag on a corner, both dimensions change.
