A great set, Stu. I find no 2 especially nice with him on that snowy branch. The second to last is a very pretty bird. What species is it? Good work all around.

Thanks for all the comments. The black and white eagle is a Stellers Sea Eagle, the brown one (#5) is a White Tailed Eagle. Both species are closely related to the Bald Eagle.

The Steller's Sea Eagles just fascinate me; they are so huge. Keep the shots coming; they're great.

Great shots. Where in Japan did you photograph the eagles? I have been lucky enough to visit Kobe, Kumamoto and Tokyo when my son worked there. Beautiful country and do I miss the great food.
Kept looking for eagles but not lucky enough to see any.

May there be peace

They were in a small town called Yakumo which is located in the south of Hokkaido, the northernmost island.......

I'm just amazed by those Steller's every time I see one, which oddly enough seems to be every time you post a thread Stu - ;) And I'm very proud of myself for remembering that one and the white-tailed!
The owl image is just too cute, but I'm w/Levina....who is that little fella in the next to last image. Looks like a chickadee/tit or something else very close.
