It's continuous halogen lighting, 1000w Elinchrom Scanlite (external link). I got it so I can use my Eli softboxes with it. It's useable for only short periods b/c the heat started melting the plastic screw lock on the softbox. Now I'd probably get Arri fresnel or fluorescent cool rig for continuous lighting ;)

This is a very intriguing shot. It grabs me, yet the overpowering light bothers me somewhat.
