Asset Management Tags

Do you use barcoded asset management tags for your equipment? If so, where is the best place to get them and does anyone know of an iPhone app that can scan barcode identifiers and inventory your assets?

FWIW, the insurance company has all the serial numbers and I've got 'em listed and photographed in a file somewhere so, I haven't worried about it. Although, we're pretty neat and everything has a dedicated place so, it's pretty obvious is something was missing and if it was, it's all pretty clearly labeled.

If you search for something like "bar code inventory" in the app store you'll get several options though. Most of the label machines at your local office supply store can make 'em or you can do it yourself with, say, microsoft office and print 'em anyway you like.
