Beer out of a barrel? My kind of place! Not a fan of the processing though. His skin tones are all over the place. On my laptop screen, the barrels appear to be more in focus than the subject. I'm betting this was a pretty cool scene, and a wider angle shot would bring more interest to it.

I agree with Scott, the processing is overdone. The photo is great other than that. You'd have a hard time finding beer from a barrel in the US.

This is an example of trying to compensate a decent image with over the top PP.

Thanks for your honesty guys - it's comments like yours that make a photographer THINK before doing PP and that's not a bad thing.

By The Way, it's not beer in the barrels - it's sweet wines

Original shot - I can now see what was meant about the focussing - The tab is written on the bar in chalk

is this malaga ? im guessing it was quite dark in there.. If you have a off cam flash i would use that and bounce it off the ceiling. I dont like how the flash reflects in the guys face and the barrels in the back. I think the processing is too over done as well. Just my opinion :)

Looks like a cool place to hang out. Next time get the guy to hold out a glass of wine or something like that rather than being kind of static. Here's a different crop.

Oh man, so much processing with such an end. Tell me, what were you going for that you liked this end result (feeling, mood)? Is there a reason for the color and contrast? Didn't like the white shirt and went for shiny silver? Do you think the processed version is improved from the original, and why? WAY over-sharpened...

Just found it the other day again - had used Topaz when I first got it and filed the shot away.

Funnily enough it made me think of an old Western Bar scene - no, I don't thinkit's a work of art but then I thought that this was the right forum to get feed back

No, my comment wasn't if it was art or not. I was wondering what visual criteria you used to direct your processing. Looking at the pre and post, I was curious as to why you thought it was being processed in the right direction.
