Sigma 24mm f1.8 vs Canon 24-70 @ 24mm

I was wondering how the Sigma 24mm f1.8 EX DG can compete against the 24-70L @24mm f2.8 ?

Yes, easily. My (otherwise excellent) copy of the 24-70 was somewhat soft at 24mm - the Sigma 24 f/1.8 is quite sharp, and 1 1/3 stops faster :) You'll like it.

as long as you get a good one you're golden.

i bought a 24mm 1.8 once and dialed in +20 on my 5d2 and that was not enough. still front focused by like a foot. lol
