Found this cool sculpture at a local office building in Houston. Reminds me of Stargate. Minimal processing in Photomatix Pro. Most processing done in Perfect Effects in Photo Suite 6.

The shots I was able to get of just the plane with the zoom lens came out much more detailed. I appreciate the comment though. Two from my weekend trip to DC ![]() Capital Hill ![]() Capital Building

I'm sure someone likes them, but to most, they are just not what we would put our names on. YMMV. Gary

I come here for advice with photomatix...I have seen far worse hdrs in this thread but thanks for comment. The things I see that needs to be fixed are....the vignette is too strong(could do w/o it) and the small halo at the top left of the building. Other than that, awesome photo mattpugs. The actual photography part is the problem too. If people bracketed shoots with high dynamic range, better results will yield. This is the HDR subforum. Plenty of these photos here in this thread are NOT HDR photos. There are photos processed with Photomatix, but that doesnt make it an HDR photo. HDR stands for high dynamic range. Some of the photos posted are just low dynamic range photos with some pretty colors and contrast. Not HDR. And some photos processed with Photomatix ends up with even less dynamic range than before process. Like any type of photography, HDR scenes and compositions need to be studied and found. One cannot just run a photo through photomatix with hopes of a pretty photo. quote for truth www.gregchamblee.com

I just wanted have some fun with my camera, I know I'll not be able to compare with the experts on here. From now on I'll just comment on others' photos and only post photos that are worthy. That may take a while. Laura Heyden
