Posted originally on HDR thread it was pointed out the white halo around tree and so far the only advice to get rid of it is to ditch Photomatix and try another app. After doing research on HDR apps Photomatix was said to be the best, one the professionals use!! Have I bought a bummer!!! or not???? I would be interested in your comments. Image hosted by forum (669896) © david.saunders40 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. kirkt Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 03, 2013 10:16 | #735 Photomatix is perfectly capable of producing a halo-free image. You need to spend some time learning the controls and what they do, that's all. Try highlight smoothing first and see if you get some results that way. Several of the controls affect edge contrast, so take some time to experiment by cranking each control up and down to its limits and see what happens. Kirk
