You guys never let me down when I need information!! Is it bad that we are moving homes, moving to a different state (back to the lower 48), changing jobs and I already know I will spend more time on the "vacation" part of everything!!!?

Travelling with children need comfortable rides, take frequent breaks to relax, at least three to four hours.

We were just kidding last night about how far will we get before we are driving each other nuts!! I hope to at least get into Canada before that happens!!!

Well, I have picked up my National Parks Pass, maybe some new camera gear, and anxious to get going. Just got done shoveling about 4 feet of snow off my roof so yes, I AM READY TO SEE SOME WARMER CLIMATES!!! This 11 feet of record setting snow is getting old very fast!! Thanks again guys for all the great information!!

From Mt. Saint Helens its a short jont to timerline on Mt. Hood (I live 45min from timberline in Sandy OR) great place to takee pictures. Snow year around, and a chairlift that will take you to amazing views. Also the lodge is amazing.

Man, I wish I was on this trip!

EricL, If you are looking for a great day hike and Glacier Point Road is open, I would recommend the Panorama Trail in Yosemite NP. You can park your car in the valley and take the first bus in the morning up to Glacier Point and then hike back down to the Valley. It's about 8-8.5 miles that takes around the back of Half Dome and past 3 waterfalls. Trip takes around 5-6 hrs I think but is well worth it. Did this last summer and it was great. Pack yourself a nice lunch and oh yeah...spare batteries and cards for the camera! :)

Whatever you decide to do....have a wonderful trip!

While I assume its on your route given Banff, make sure you go through Jasper and the Ice Fields Parkway

We will be right behind you. June 12-21 we will be heading to Banff, Jasper & Yoho. I was there 35 years ago and we are taking my mother back while we can.
