I was wondering if anyone could tell me what might be some of the causes of glitching/skiping of clips in my premiere editing timeline that were edited in aftereffects ?

Could be many things. The preview settings could be set too high for your computer, drivers may be corrupt (hardware), software could be corrupt (Premiere), the clips themselves could be getting corrupted, you could have hardware issues... Start eliminating issues.

If you render the clip in Premiere, does it have any problems? If no, then lower preview settings in Premiere. If that doesn't work, change the render settings in AE to another format. If that doesn't work start with updating video drivers, run chkdisk /f on your hard drives, defrag your hard drive(s), uninstall Premiere and reinstall, run CCleander to clean up cache old registry crud, check startup and remove junk...
