Went to Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia today with a couple of friends from the photo club. We wanted to be there without the large crowds, there were only about 10 people - next weekend is the official opening and there should be at least 100 people or more.
We got there and shortly after the farmer put out a couple of chickens, about 100 feet out from us. With the recent snow and cold weather it only took minutes for these guys to come down for some free lunch. There were about 20 eagles all trying for the same couple of chickens so the action was fast. The weather has been warm up till this last week (minus a couple of days here and there). Last year there were about 100 eagles, the year before almost double that. Maybe they'll be out next weekend.
