30 paces away from me...I'll get one on your behalf.

That's okay, I prefer Screamin' Mimi's in Sebastopol. Some of the very best ice cream in the West.

Other than a few flavours at the grocery stores, I know of no stand alone stores around here at all. Harm, you are going to have to have some for me too. ;)

Harm wrote in post #14203108 (external link)
well, just helping out those who are 30+ miles away from a ben & jerry's! It is less than 100m from me :D

You keep doing that and even JimBear's apron won't fit around your waist. ;-)a

Well... I've only lived in two. I never had a complaint about Nebraska. ;)

Way back when I spent a fair amount of time on a consulting gig in Lincoln, Nebraska. If I were forced to move, it would be high on my list of places to consider.

other than flat fields of corn, what else is there in Nebraska?

I haven't been there in a couple of decades. My uncle lives in Omaha

I still haven't figured out why we haven't just taken Mexico over. Seems like it would save a lot of troubles.

I've visited a fair number of our states, and the one that stands out as the prettiest in my memory, even though I was very young at the time, is Arkansas. I loved everything about that state! The mountains, the lakes, the friendly people, the accents. Even way back then as a young'un, just listening to those people talk made me melt...:lol::lol:

Growing up in Nebraska, I also loved nearby Kansas and Iowa, too. These days I'm more firmly planted in the southwestern desert side of the country. If I were forced to move today, it'd probably be to either Arizona or Nevada.

Hmmm... How to answer this? ... I just love the more laid-back attitude people in the midwest tend to have than those on this (and the other) coast do. Here, people only care about themselves, and if they have to trample over a bunch of other people to "win" in life, then so be it. I never saw that attitude in Nebraska. Then, there's the fact that it's actually affordable to live in the midwest.

It's hard to explain, really.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

gotta love the US for allowing illegals to be employed
http://www.boston.com …/metrode...=all&csort=rec (external link)

I am ****ing pissed off, as my wife and I spent a fortune to get visas and do everything as the rules say it should for me to move over, yet cocksucking bastards can get away with crap...

This quote takes the biscuit:

Obama’s drunken-driving arrest in August attracted international attention because it revealed that he had been living in the United States illegally since he was ordered deported in 1992, the second presidential relative found to be living in the United States illegally.

Voted for best rant of the week.

Thanks Bucky. No worries, the weather will warm and there are lots of races left.

come in via a mexican tunnel. save yourself the $$$ and paperwork ;)

I watch all those cop type shows with real video. There is one called Boarder Patrol and it always amazes me how many people from places other than Central and South America sneek in. They bust people from all over the world including China coming over that boarder.

Yeah and the best part is she had so much fun. She is a friend and she was just laughing and smiling after because it was such a hard fought race.
