Today he is 26" tall and 14 lbs 9oz :)

Stark contrast to 6 months ago, 16 3/4" tall and 3lbs 5oz :)

We are so happy with his progress and catching up :)

If he continues to increase in height over 50% every 6 months, by 2 1/2 years he will be over 8' tall. Not only that, but if his weight increases by 440% every six months too, he would weigh over 1,200 lbs at the same time.

Hopefully he decelerates his growth a wee bit before then.

Oh, I don't know. I've lived in California since 1963 and I don't think it's that bad a place. It's certainly better than those places that get tons of snow every winter...

No snow, no winter. How hard is that to grasp?

thomascanty wrote in post #14206583 (external link)
You're just weird... ;)

Truth!

JWright wrote in post #14206645 (external link)
Yep, and I wouldn't have it any other way...

There's GOOD weird, and there's BAD weird. Not liking snow's not exactly good.

For you it is a stat holiday, for Curt it is a paid holiday, for me I had to request a vacation day, albeit a paid one.:D

JIM - I couldn't get out of California fast enough for the reason you stated, I really missed the change of seasons. That said, except for the constant bloody sinuses from the dryness, I did enjoy my stint in the Mojave dessert in a been there, done that kind of way.

Feds don't get it either.

And Amen to the low humidity complications on the nasal passages.

I hesitated before clicking on it and now I really wish I'd followed my first instincts...

I DID follow my first instincts. You reassure me that I made the correct decision.

Makes you wish you were one of his kids, huh?

Only if equipped with a .44 Magnum.

My kids physically put their hands over my mouth when I try and sing it. My wife has banned me from streaming it on the tv.

Wish they'd extended that ban to anywhere other than your own personal iPod. Why torture the rest of the world? The Geneva Convention prohibits that kind of torture, you know.

Tomorrow I will be the "proud?" owner of a Droid 3. Is this a good or bad thing?

Couldn't say, since the phone bill is Curt's, I don't see myself having a smart phone at anytime...but if I did, I like the Razor, but would do much more research then what I see on commercials before purchasing.

I didn't choose it. Husband bought it as a surprise for me. He knows I like those slide out keyboards which is why I think he picked the droid 3. I've been reading a lot about it today... Seems a bunch of folks don't like it. But... reviews and comments are most often written by people that are unhappy with a product. At any rate, I'm excited to get a new toy to play with.:)

Pea, did you have a smart phone before or will this be your first?

I recently went from an iPhone to a Droid, there was a bit of a learning curve and things my iphone did much more intuitively. but in the end they serve the same function and get the job done.

My brother got an I-phone a few weeks back. There are a lot of things he likes about a smart phone and a few he doesn't. From what I hear from our generation anyway, that is the general consensus.

I do like his night sky app though, very cool, wish I could get it for the Nook but it needs a gps signal that the smart phones have.

We have several people at work who use the Droid 3 and are very happy with it.

The iPhone night sky app is one of my favorites too. If you're into outdoor photography and want to know sun angles, Sun Seeker is a neat app. The lite version is free, but it does require GPS.

Star Walk, is a fabulous app. Shows live locations of stars, planets, satellites. You just point your phone in the direction you want to look at, and it will show it all with names.
