Really, I am surprised that Good Friday is not a holiday.

The company I work for doesn't consider it a holiday, either. Which is kinda surprising, since it's a Catholic organization...

What do you do when you need to pull your hair out, and you have none left?

Really, I am surprised that Good Friday is not a holiday. It is across the board here. Anyone who does work gets overtime pay, plus paid for the day.

Here in Alberta there are 9 statutory holidays a year, plus 3 others that employers have the right to choose whether or not the employee gets it.

No Good Friday here either. And if Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years or any other days fall on the weekends we don't get any extra days off.

2011 was a bad year for days off at the end of the year.

Walmart people work holidays, and we all know power plants don't shut down for holidays either.

So yes it's legal even though I'm a salary boy.

I tend to work most holidays, but at least they pay me time-and-a-half when I do.

Yeah  we don't get that here. I did get a 5% raise 6 years ago, so all is well.
