If you're going to do Alcatraz, it is highly recommended you make reservations in advance. The Disney Museum is about 4 miles from where your ship will dock. Early October is a good time to be in SF. It's not as foggy that time of year.

I am just waiting for an email from my friend, and then I will by the tickets, hopefully next week. I think I can wait off a bit on the Disney Museum though. What is the weather like? Should I plan on bringing a light or heavier jacket?

Hard to say about jackets...the averages that time of year is highs around 68-72, lows in the low 50's. When I go to the city I usually wear layers under an REI jacket that's just a shell with no insulation. That way I can add, or subtract, layers as appropriate, but still have protection from the wind.

Thanks Tim. I will bring a light jacket along with a fleece or sweatshirt then.

It's their parents fault, I keep telling them to stop letting it happen so quick but they're not listening.;)

It is great to get them used to all different tastes now Harm. My guy is an adventurous eater, but my one nephew is incredibly picky. His mom never had him taste anything interesting when he was tiny and didn't know any better!! lol

My diaper changing helper. Another reason I love Labs, naturally gentle giants.
