Very nice! Much less cluttered! My office will be painted sometime this summer I beleive... we're doing our classrooms first... Mine will be eggshell white... they weren't too keen on my color requests...

Do they have an air-conditioner cover? That looks like it would be the coldest place to park your desk. Don't freeze! Now about the color ... It's the same color our office is painted.

Yo Z....another true life tale?

It was snowing heavily and blowing to the point that visibility was almost zero when the little Blonde got off work. She made her way to her car and wondered how she was going to make it home. She sat in her car while it warmed up and thought about her situation. She finally remembered her daddy's advice that if she got caught in a blizzard she should wait for a snow-plow to come by and follow it. That way she would not get stuck in a snow drift.

This made her feel much better and sure enough in a little while a snow-plow went by and she started to follow it. As she followed the snow-plow she was feeling very smug as they continued and she was not having any problem with the blizzard conditions.

After an hour had passed, she was somewhat surprised when the snow-plow stopped and the driver got out and came back to her car and signaled for her to roll down her window. The snow-plow driver wanted to know if she was alright as she had been following him for a long time. She said that she was fine and told him of her daddy's advice to follow a snow-plow when caught in a blizzard.

The driver replied that it was OK with him and she could continue if she wanted, but he was done with the Wal-Mart parking lot, and was going over to Sears next.

Temps in the single digits, winds gusting 25-30 mph and being well removed from a water supply made this a less than pleasant fire.

Pete, what is the second bird?

It's a Redwing (external link). Attracted to the garden for the hawthorn berries. They're a rare visitor, so nice to see.

Last day at Albertsons and on to new job tomorrow. Really looking forward to more hours and less drive time!

Good luck today, we'll be thinking about you.

Nice.

G'Morn all, 40's, rain and foggy this morning. Temps are suppose to drop and the rain turn to snow by this afternoon. Up bright and early to take my mom to the bus for O'Hare. She is flying out to Moab, Mars aka Utah, to spend some vacation time with my oldest brother and his wife. This was us kids Christmas gift to her.:D Cat has been given instructions to take good care of my family while out there, even if they are on the other edge of the state from her.;)

Great gift Becky!! We are struggling with what to do for my mom this year.

Morning kids, we have lots of fog too as the weather is warming up and rain is here, supposed to last most of the day with temps into the 50's.

No, things are pretty quiet now. It was sure ugly here on Saturday, though, and they're still cleaning up the mess. I'm so happy we had our three remaining 'big' trees removed last year. There is no way they would have survived the gale. Neighbor across the street lost two trees (completely uprooted), so we can't complain about our two big branches that snapped.
