Stetzam, I googled photographing oil and water and simply followed the instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfGoppLhraI
Focusing is tricky but I floated a banana sticker on he water surface, then removed it and moved a large oil drop with a skewer to go under my lens and that was it. Really simple and fun. Pekka went crazy and added one of my water/oil shots to the "Best of"

those pics are great R. ,,this type of shot is demonstrated in Bryan Peterson"s Understanding Exposure too. I"ve been tempted to try it ,but haven"t bothered to yet.
