Does any know if its possible to get just the adapter and not the plate itself screws into the camera? I have a 501 head for my tripod with the plate already so I don't need the plate. Or even a generic one that would fit my plate. Preferably on ebay so I make use of my ebay bucks :)

Offering the clamp separately is not typically something Manfrotto does . . . unlike most clamp/head makers they include a plate with all their units.
