We finally got snow in Colorado after a winter of next to nothing. After skiing 18" of powder for the first three hours, my friends and I finally slowed down to take some pictures:

Incredible! That last shot is killer. We got our first snow this weekend, too - about 1/2". :)

I love the composition of #2, but would like to see it as just a photo, no PP.

Here's the color version of #2, cropped a little differently.

What a great series, all well done and as a former skier enjoyable to see.

Best, Bruce

One more, only because I love the lighting and the color contrast between the aspens and my friend's outfit.

I really like the color images better (all are nice but those are better imo). My reasoning here is simply that you have enough monotone in the image with the aspens and snow and its the color that creates the subject separation. Just my opinion. Also, as much as I like #2, the crop I'd go for is to put the skier in the upper left (think rule of thirds here) and use the aspens as a nice leading line. It sets up so well for that if you ask me.

The last one in the original post is my favorite. Nice set all around though.

great shots, and I agree the color versions just look better.. Finally getting a *little* snow here, pretty weak season so far!
