Hey guys! It's Chinese New Year and it's a tradition to have reunion dinners where families get together and have a big feast just before the lunar new year.

This year I was lucky to have bought my Konova K5 slider just a week before Chinese New Year and so I put it through its paces. I've got a review coming up if you guys are interested in that :)

So anyway, hope you enjoy this little short that I did.

I did enjoy it. Thank you for sharing the family dinner prep. I found it enlightening.

Very interesting all the way around. Your grandfather was perfect in this. He seemed very interested in what you were doing as well.

One question though, why did you feel the need to slow down a lot of the food prep shots. Like the dumplings going into the brine or the rice being spooned out or the gas stove being turned on? Some of the video seemed very "jittery" to me. Maybe that's just an internet compression thing, maybe not.

Otherwise it all looked very spot on, well lit and the color balance was perfect. A great view into your family, thank you!

Good job!

I'd like to see the slider review I'm looking at purchasing one of there.

Thanks for your kind words Chas! None of the food prep shots are slowed down... Could be your viewer lagging just a little? If you mean the slider shot of food on the table, then yeah it's the sliding sideways motion at 24p that gives it that jittery film-like look. None of the shots are slowed down or sped up!

Haha, you can be sure that the K5 is a great slider for the money. The only step up to this would be the Kessler Pocket Dolly Phillip Bloom Edition with drag control, but that costs almost 3 times the price I got mine for!
