Sorry I couldn't edit my other thread and add a poll ...which set would you choose if you owned the 5D MK II + 60D?

1. 8mm | Sigma 12-24 | 35L | Sigma 85 | 135L | 70-200

2. 8mm | 17-40L | 35L | Sigma 85 | 135L | 70-200

3. 8mm | 24-70L | 35L | Sigma 85 | 135L | 70-200

the difference is the second lens!~ I just wanna know what your opinions are...thanks POTN! oh and I opted for a wide angle that also serves as a general purpose walk around..since I have my primes for low light and sharpness galore situations.

..and yeah I know I just screwed up the poll it won't let me edit to fix it. :S

I'd go for 1, because I like wide :)

But I'd probably add a 24-105 in there as well for travel purposes.

me too! I think it's inevitable to avoid skipping mid-range...I think I have to have either a 24-70 or a 24-105 later down the road.

none of the above. ugh ;)!

15mm FE, 16-35L II, 24-70L, 70-200L f4 IS, 100-400L, 50 1.4. i wouldn't buy lenses for the 1.6 crop -- it can use EF lenses when it isn't collecting dust :D.

I like Ed's option minus the 50 f/1.4 (just because I had one and liked it ... but hardly ever used it).

This poll didn't give me any option that I would go with.

I have both a 5D and a 50D, so my bodies are similar to yours. If I were to select 3 lenses for this combination, it would be:
24-105mm f4
70-200mm f2.8 IS
40mm f2.8

The lenses I currently have are very similar to this list, and I know from much experience that they are the lenses that work best for what I shoot. The only exception is the 2nd lens. I currently have a 100-400 f5.6, but would prefer to have the 70-200 f2.8 IS. Once I get some $ together, I hope to make the switch.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
