Yea, it was around -10 degrees out. it sucked so bad touching the tripod metal.
got really lucky on finding this spot out of nowhere.

how did you get the focus so sharp at 2.8?

and try wrapping the top of one of the legs of the tripod with a 1' piece of foam water line wrap... makes for a good cushion on your shoulder if you carry your tri-pod like that, also works as a great grip (and not freezing)
